waking up in tears

Posted by alii on May 23, 2002, at 8:01:44

Ok now...
at what point do I start worrying
that this isn't 'normal' life reaction
and may be my ol' adversary major d?

I get so angry with myself
for being in this place once again
like somehow I am to blame for my
inability to handle stresses.

mornings are, right now for me, the worst

still crying,
a.

I am so sorry to hear that, alii. You did just lose a connection in your life, and grief is a perfectly normal emotion to loss. Take care of yourself. (Of course, it probably wouldn't hurt to contact your pdoc and let him know how things stand with you.)

That's such a common problem- telling what is beyond a normal reaction. I tend to up my antidepressants when I am stressed, just in case, but maybe dont actually need to.

The suggestion of talking to your pdoc is a good one?

Its incredibly frustrating to feel as you do, but you have *absolutely no cause* to blame yourself for your reaction, or your sensitivity to stress. I find that kind of thinking, with me, is linked to being a bit depressed- I loose my sense of proportion.

Someone with asthma who started wheezing when the pollen was high could be very fed up about it, but wouldnt blame themselves for it, would they? Its the same sort of thing, really.

Anyway, of course the main thing to say is that we are all thinking of you, and take care.

Fi

Alii,

Don't blame yourself,
please! It's something
you can't control,
you wouldn't wish this
feeling on yourself,
would you, if you
could help it.

I woke up crying every day
last year for a long period of time.
Went to bed crying,
woke up crying,
meds were not yet stabilized.
It's still so clear in my mind,
those horrible horrible
feelings, nothing to do
but wait it out,
and keep talking...

another hug,

Wendy

Thank you.

Wild ride and surging sadness still happening.

Good wishes appreciated.

Must go force sleep. Two hours anyway....
