Katyusha
--For my unborn daughters,
and for their daughter's
daughters, and a very
special One.
I have tried
Talking to them
They wont come back
It's getting to be
June, dark--The summer is a crusher
It rolls in steady
Maybe if I try, you try
The big surpriseYou and I
Are a lot alike you know
Each of of sleeps
With cats that
Steal our breathMake a mental note
The sea, sky, sand, and
Walk back home--
The heart, in it's cradle
Thunk-- a kind of voice? The stars
Smashed into a sky
Boats adrift,
Mooring themselves onto the
Rock of GibraltarAnd the sky opens up
It's vastness dwarfed by
Their hearts, asking
The one true hallelujahAnd over the roar
Someone yells, "Katyusha!"
Some moments before, we
Holdings hands, wait for
Those behemoths to
Open their fangs.

Kid, is this your own creation? I think you're a very talented person. Not all your poetry & writings speak to me, but this does VERY much. It's quiet, poignant, & immense. Thank you so much for this.
