Just wanted to say, I thought your attempt to make peace between Lou and kiddo over on PBA was really great, even though the result probably was not what you hoped for. Also, kudos for your foray into shedding Miss Goody 2-Shoes, evidenced in your subsequent exchange with Miss B.

My therapist told me he thought I should either leave Babble or use it as a place to help develop ego strength. My eyes glaze when he talks Freud, but he gave examples. Since I'll do most anything to please my therapist/mother, I exercised my ego strength today. Oooh are my muscles sore.
Didn't melt down on board though. :) He'll be so proud. Maybe I'll even get a sticker. :)

Leave Babble? Why?
Therapists have a way of taking the fun out of everything, don't they? If you want to really impress him with your ego strength, how about telling him to butt out (ha ha).
I suffer from being too polite at times too. Once I worked at a company dominated by very rude 20-something males. One day in the lab I just lost it and said to the pack leader, "Shut up, Joe, shut up, just shut up!" I waited, expecting the universe to end or something, but to my surprise everyone applauded. My outburst became the topic of good-natured teasing forever afterward. (Unfortunately that golden moment didn't last, and I was driven to the brink of nervous breakdown before I finally quit. That was just not the place for a thin-skinned little girly like me.)
