Still doing the loving-kindness meditation?
I was meditating regularly, but fell into a deep
funk for the past 3 weeks. Basically quit exercising,
meditating and started chain smoking. I think I'm
about out of that phase though now, and I'm ready to
get back to the stuff that REALLY makes me feel good.
I've got that loving kindness meditation tape ready
to go in the stereo, now all I have to do is sit on that
damn cushion...
I'm dreading the exercise because of the smoking, but
I've been through that before...it's miserable for about
a week and then it gets better (as long as I stay away from
the cigerettes). I normally don't even smoke...just under
stress and/or extra lonely periods. How are you? Anything new?

Hi there Ruth,
Nice to hear from you. I'm OK. Taking the week off work, just hanging around the house and doing a bit of gardening and cleaning up. Ahhh, relaxation. Not much is new with me, I'm still feeling pretty good mood-wise-- summer is usually my best time. Tried adding some topomax but it made me sick, then I started feeling better anyway.
Still managing to do my meditation *almost* every day, just doing the awareness stuff.
