That wasn't a lie. You really are okay, and you will become better than okay. Maybe you can read something more cheerful than your current volume? Let me suggest a peek at the Missouri Review's web site. Check out some of the poems there; you may find them funny, insightful, inspiring.

Keep writing, even if it's just for practice.
