The Good Girl

Has anyone else seen this movie yet? I was skeptical about it going in, but it was a really well done, intelligent movie. There have been so many movies made about the topics of adultery and mental illness, but this one feels compelling. Unlike most movies, you can tell where things are going to end up with this one, because the characters behave in a way that doesn't romanticize their actions and issues.
It's exhilarating to sneak off with someone you feel connected with, but it hurts other people. It's unusual and somewhat appealing to be distainful for society and feel deeply, but it's destructive when you assume depression as an identity. Having worked at a grocery store under similar conditions to the movie (for 6 years!) I could relate to the desperation and despair that a life spent in a financial and emotional prison can foster.

I thought the movie was a dark comedy. I thought it was hillarious, and also that all the actors in it did Oscar worthy jobs.

Even Vince the dog did a good job.

Or out on video?

Going to movies is a luxury of time that I save for Harrison Ford movies. :) But it does sound interesting.
