Really? Crap - now I can't get my weekly dose of Timothy Hutton.

Oh, well, Ben Browder is still around on Farscape for a while. One of the best looking (& youngest looking for his age - a couple months shy of his 40th birthday) guy around. I love the show & having him in it is the icing on the cake.

Just had to put in a few sites of photos of him so others can see what a great looking guy he is.

You say this guy's 39? My faith in the potential attractiveness of near-middle-aged men has just been restored.

It's the jaw, he's still got that young guy jaw that hasn't gotten all square and beefy looking. And those lips. Yum.

Yep, 40 at the beginning of December. When I first started watching the show, I thought him in his mid-late 20s. Boy, was I wrong!

I hate to sound so shallow, but looks do matter to me as far as attractiveness goes (but not in friends). A young friend & I were cracking up about jowls, ear hair, shaggy eyebrows so long that they be combed back over bald spots, bulging beer bellies, & floppy little, hairy tits. Gross!!! And so many of these guys still think they're HOT!!??

It's not just Ben Browder's good looks & no sag, he's got a very intelligent, outgoing, & really cheerful personality too. I love the character he plays on the show but sci-fi isn't everyone's favourite. Good sci-fi, not just silly fantasy, is still the *best* genre out there.

Every friend that I've introduced Farscape to has loved it & got hooked. Unfortunately, it's always my younger friends. I don't know a single person around my age who loves sci-fi like I do. Boring old farts! Damn, I hate growing older - there seems to be fewer & fewer interests I have in common with others my age.

Sounds like you are keeping yourself young at heart! Good job! I work at a university and think that being around younger people helps me stay current, (although I have never been one to follow the latest fashion trends).

I do like to look at the actors from ~20 yrs. old (Josh Hartnett) to much older guys (Sean Connery, for instance). And with me, sometimes there is an attraction to an older actor I can't explain, because he isn't fabulous anymore, but he still has something that turns my crank...

I once had a chem. professor with the longest eyebrows I have ever seen. I could hardly concentrate on lecture for wondering why on earth he didn't have the barbor prune those things!

Have a great weekend!! MAL

He's a pretty good looking kid, but I've got to admit to not being a big fan of movie stars or such. Just something about Ben Browder & Timothy Hutton - those two only.

Josh Hartnett is good looking but when a guy looks younger than my youngest son, I tend to just have motherly feelings stirred. I need them to look like a man, well past the boy stage. The prime of life, so to speak. Few people seem to hold onto that stage for long.

It's the difference taking care of yourself does. When I was getting groceries, I got talking to the woman in the line-up behind me. She looked in great shape, not much in wrinkles but completely grey hair. She said she was mid-60s. I bet she could outdo most women in their late 30s or early 40s. It's what comes of a good life style & not as a last ditch attempt in later life. One needs to start young to stay in good shape.

Now, I think this is the first time I have seen Mr. Browder. I didn't mean to leave it out before- he DOES look really good. I have always liked Mr. Hutton. Something about that boy-next-door look of his. I am not obsessed with actors/movie stars, but I figured you wouldn't know the men I hold in high regard here in real life! haha

Mr. Hartnett is not quite young enough to be a son of mine, so I can admire him pretty easily. I agree that few people have that "prime" look for long. I think a lot of the Hollywood types try to hang on with a lot of surgical help. Speaking of such, have you seen Kenny Rogers lately? eww.

Yep, you are right.

May I ask where on the planet you are?

On the surface still, that I know of...
Actually, I live on the Pacific Northwest coast. I love it here - lovely climate, gorgeous surroundings.

Kenny Rogers was NEVER my sort - I loathe country music with a passion! He never looked good to me, even younger. I like a more sophisticated, modern looking person - more cerebral.
I think, on the whole, that the 80s & early 90s was one of the tackiest periods in recent times.

Oh, it's too sad. You forgot receding gums and discolored teeth, crepey reddish neck skin, liverspots, and thick toenails. Time is cruel. How come trees age so much better than primates?

Yeah, how come some people get so middle aged and others don't? I thought it was just lack of kids, but you've proved me wrong there.

OK, IsoM, I must have given you the wrong idea. I didn't mean KR was my ideal- I just meant I'd rather see him with a few wrinkles than stretched all taut- he looks kind of like a wax figure now, IMO.

You have a great weekend!

You mean he's got cosmetic surgery done? I haven't seen a pix of him for a few years now. Sheez! That must be a shock for the eyes - now I've got to check it out on Google for a good laugh. Thanks!

OK, maybe I am wrong about whether he has had surgery, but something doesn't look the same... Did you find photos? Does he look different to you? Something just doesn't look right to me.

Naw, I couldn't find any recent pix so quit trying. But something never looked right with him to begin with. (Besides, I'd rather look at someone who looks good - not weird.)
