BeardedLady

I'm glad you are feeling better. I'd like to think it was my candle. A friend lit one for me when I was in the hospital. Of course its the thought. Funny though, I ended up meeting these nice people who I now stay with, and not only that...of all the coincidences. Her brother came over for dinner, I recognized his name and asked him if he knew and old friend of mine who I've been trying to get in touch with for two years!! HE DID!
I'd never met the brother before, but I'd heard his name so much from my long-lost gay buddy that it registered with me.

I've missed this friend so much that the night before I'd been trying to go through all those internet white pages to find his e-mail address.

So my new roomates brother actually called my friend, who was as thrilled as I was and we are meeting next week. What are the chances???

On another topic.
I scanned briefly a few letters about you taking
o.t.c medication to sleep.

I used to do that, when I was already having a rough time, because they'd relax me in the short term. It took me a while to realize they tipped my reg-depression into a suicidal one. Now I can't believe I DIDN"T SEE IT!

Obviously we know its not the same for everyone but just in case..

Anything like Neo Citran
Nytol- Diphenyhdramine
Midol and the like

I call them my suicide list.
They still tempt me when I'm anxious.

Though benzo's have a terrible reputation.
Ativan is the much safer alternative for me than those others.
I have to be careful to not take them for too long a period of time. I hate that part!

I do like my Ativan.

Thanks, Gabbi.

I was never a fan of OTC meds for sleep--never in my life needed them, and by the time I did, it was way too late.

I took Nyquil last week, but not for sleep. I had a rotten cold. In fact, I took it not caring if I didn't sleep but only wanting to get relief. Anyway, Nyquil always works when I have a cold. I don't use it unless I do.

I don't like Ativan much because I can't drink! I just want my one nightly beer! Anyway, I was supposed to take it to "break the cycle," which may be broken. I didn't need it to fall asleep last night, but I took two mg. at 2:00 a.m. I might go back to the Sonata tonight. See what happens. I dunno.

I would bet it'd be okay to have a beer at 6:00 p.m., even if I needed an Ativan at 2:00 a.m., right?

Thanks for your thoughts. I got my period (yea!), so it must have been the candle. Now most of my troubles are gone, and I'm left with my grief.

Take care.

P.S. That's no coincidence. It's synchronicity!

BeardedLady a joke for you

Actually I believe you are right, it is synchronicity.
I'm glad your'e bleeding (forgive me it was too tempting)

And a joke.
Which undoubtedly you've been told before, but in case you haven't..

Grief, a personal odyssey and I dare not intrude, but I will be thinking of you.
