I try not to think too much about the Christmas times of past. Most are times that only make my flashbacks more vivid...more frightening.
People who really understand PTSD...and it seems that the only ones who really do are those struggling to surviving themselves...know how hard it is to separate todays activities from those of that past. They are so tightly woven into who you and how you think and have wraped the way you relate to people and situations on a daily basis.
For me I would rather have someone admit that they have no idea how I feeling right now than to offer false comfort and some kind of well-meaning theraputic solution.
Accceptance is the greatest gift one human being can give to another...without no strings attached....syringachalet

I agree that holidays, anniverseries, etc. really do make flashbacks worse. I hope you are working with your therapist more to help you get through the next month. take care, judy
