I think I saw you mention that you were going to start the 'Body for Life" program. If you didn't
please ignore this, and blame it on my medication.I wanted to let you know that a friend of my Dad's a 48 yr old man, who I would describe as heavy, about 50 lbs or so overweight started the program last year.
I'd seen him slimmer, than his extra 50 lbs but even then he had the body type that looked to me as if it would never be 'buff'Well he's the only person I know who's started a program, and I've known many, who's body transformed in a matter of weeks. Actually the only reason I asked him what he was doing, was because I'd never seen anything like it.
Within 12 weeks he was in such good shape, he looks 'fit' not overdone, or overly muscular, but really an add for a really fit toned healthy person. I know he followed the plan to the letter, he's like that, and also he was working out less than he had done before, but with no comparison in result.
Well me, I read the book.. maybe my eye muscles are a bit more fit..
I just wanted to let you know that all those 'Body for Life changed me for ever" stories are actually accurate
(nobody paid me for this either)

My sister's friend does it. Swears by it. She's here from Greece for the next three months and is going to train my sister. I'm goin' for the two-fer.
Bookie, the thing that gets to me is the supplements. But I know another woman who did it without any supplements. She looks great.
Sis and I are getting the book.

good point... My Dad's friend didn't use the supplements either. I'm not sure but I think all the supplements were an oppurtunistic venture after the book had already proven successful alone.

Thanks for letting me know about the guys' results.
From doing careful reading, I've learned that a lot of the people who look so great in the book did transform -- just not in 12 weeks. The people who change into hotties quickly are genetically 'gifted.'
But, that's ok. I'm still stickin' to it. I expect positive changes, not a miracle. I think with my ocd nature having a plan to stick to will help me make positive gains.

Bearded, yeah, I don't really have the cash for those supplements. Or the inclination to experiment with my mind by adding some of those substances.
I _did_ buy some myoplex, because I had tried BFL with just food a couple weeks ago. I found that it was very labor intensive, so I thought I'd get the meal replacement shake. Tastes TERRIBLE! You can't imagine how bad it is! AND it made me poop out the same color as the shake.
A couple I know who did it together says they were EXPLOSIVE (i.e, gassy) on the shakes and did not want to lay next to each other in bed because of it. :D
But, I'm starting mon :D When you startin'?

I thought this was a guy who had a gym here in Baltimore, but I guess I'm thinking of someone else.
I will bet my body is one of the gifted ones. At least, that's what I've been told by some intimate acquaintences (haha).
Ahhhh, so many things to buy for self, so little time. I think I'll ask for it for Xmas and start January 1st, since I'm already on weight watchers (which works but doesn't change a body shape).
Due to my whacky sleep patterns and some extra meds, I've gained 4.4 pounds since my birthday. When you consider all the crap I've eaten, I think I'm pretty lucky. It'll take me a week or two to lose that weight, since it's new weight. But I can't seem to stop eating cookies.
Here's my new bumper sticker MINCEMEAT IS MURDER. (I might add "on the thighs" in fine print below it.)
Luck to us all.

Tee hee. Funny post beardy.
The book is "Body For Life". If you have a Borders or something, I'd suggest just taking out your notebook and writing down the program, since it's very basic. I don't think the book is worth the $25.00, really.
It's got cool pictures in the back for the weightlifting plan, that's about it.
gotta go -- my gf needs cuddle time. :D
