>>Phil,
If I'm still around (active on the board) & ~if~ I can get it together enough to cast off my dock lines and cruise, I may do that. I made posts to a sailing list I'm on the last time. Sounds like a good idea, and if I get near someone's neighborhood maybe we could meet.<<Hey Harry,
Come Pacific way and I have a nice little harbour we might be able to find you some refuge in.
A sailing babbler. That is very mysterious and metaphorical for our diseases.
Best wishes to you Harry.

Alii, doubt I'll get to the -other- coast any time soon, but ya never know, thanks.
dreamerz- don't recognize the name, but howdy!
Have to say the cruising lifestyle is a bit different. A lot of folks who cruise have no permanent home. "Home" is wherever they find themselves. As a group, and I generalize, they are a good group of folk. I met & had dinner with people from all over the world who were just making their way up & down the east coast. Most cruisers are couples, but there are a lot of singles cruising too. It is a unique lifestyle, not an easy one, but it offers many rewards.
This year, living at a marina, I spent Xmas alone. Last year I was invited to Xmas dinner by fellow cruisers I had only met several days before. Go figure.
Have a great New Year,
hb

I'm piscean. (Are ALL pisceans too sensitive for this cruel world?) I love the water. I can't wait for a shoulder injury to heal so I can go surfing again.
When you and your cat come to visit I'll lend you my surfboard and I guarantee that you will find inner peace out there in the warm blue water.
The sharks have never even said hello to me so don't get too freaked out by them underwater creatures.
