I would never do something like that with the intent to be insensitive. I was not trying to make light of your plight.

I think, deep down, you know that.

But in my feelings of desperation regarding my nine-pound weight gain in three weeks, I wanted to point out that I'm not desperate enough to want to endure what you are going through.

It actually was a cockeyed compliment. I was saying that you were a stronger person than I for enduring what you're enduring and still being around.

It's amazing that my post was seen as exactly the opposite of my intent. But I guess I should expect that by now.
