My gf came back from vacation. I'm really happy that she's back. The brief 10-day separation showed me how much she adds to my life; I can see that I'm happy to be with _her_ and not just _someone_.
At the same time, it showed me that I love having alone time during the day to do creative writing. So now I have a goal of 1,000 words a day. I send her off for a couple of hours or go to a cafe so I can do this. She's resistant to leaving me alone -- says she fears that once I'm a 'famous writer,' I'll leave her for ever greener pastures. She'll probably always be a bit insecure, but I think my writing habit is becoming 'normal' around here, something that she's getting used to quickly. It makes me quite happy. :D

Good for you! Enjoy the happy times. 1000 words sounds like a lot. It must feel good to commit yourself to something you love (both the writing and the gf).
