6 inches in a few hours, wow, lots more on the way. I'm so excited. I love snow. I think I just might stay up all night and watch out the window!!! Maybe do some shoveling. It's only 1:33 am, I still have about 3 or 4 hours before I might be able to fall asleep anyway.
Going out to play!!!!

No. :( :( Not since I was four. And snow is wonderful when you're four. Snowmen and sledding and all sorts of things they probably don't let kids do anymore without helmets.
Mittens and frozen fingers and galoshes and hot chocolate with marshmallows waiting inside.

Well, sometimes I wish I lived somewhere nice & warm all of the time. I like the snow, but I always get the blues in the winter. I think they call it Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)...something like that.
In the spring, or summer, when we get storms, I love those. While everyone is scared, I'm out on the porch. When we have a Tornado watch, thats what I do, I watch for one, on the porch...lol
Anyway, I wish could give you some snow, we have plenty to donate.
Hot chocolate...yum!!! I have had so many Nestle Turtles today (Valentines Day gift). I don't need anymore chocolate. :-) They are almost gone...yikes.

I love storms. Wild winds whipping. The total feeling of abandon. Feeling so small in the face of things so big.
I love anything in nature that makes me feel small. Storms, the sea, mountains. Things of nature that make me feel small somehow nourish my soul and make it feel free.

I love wild wind & stormy weather for a diff reason altogether. I feel so alive then. It's such an overload of sensory stimulation but unlike man-made which just taxes me, nature's overload enervates me. The wild abandoment is exhilirating!

........and snow and snow and snow!!! Six inches is usually a big deal around here...here it is 1:45 in the =morning, 22 inches on the ground, still coming down steady, with as much as another possible 10 or 12 inches!
Maryland governor signed an executive order ordering that No One except emergency personnel and snow removal crews, and National Guard humvees allowed on state roads.
Are we still having fun???!!!

State of emergency here too. We have just a little over a foot of snow. It's blowing & drifting, causing white-outs. The ice is also making things worse.
Am I still having fun? Actually, Yes. I'm not sure why, but bad weather interests me. We don't seem to get much snow anymore. This kind of weather brings back childhood memories of building snow tunnels, school closings, & listening to my grandparents stories. They had to walk to school in "this" weather, barefoot, going uphill both ways. That was so funny.
Be safe in all of the snow!!!

Storms with wild winds, I love. Snow, I detest!!! Thank goodness, this winter we only had a bit for a day or two but only an inch or so. I feel very sorry for everyone with all that snow. Even if you like snow - that much is ridiculous & only screws everything up. I like my snow on mountain slopes & only there. What a wuss, huh?
