Does anyone have trouble slipping into the new year? A new year signals a new beginning, a new motivation, a new system. It also signals putting away Christmas, and getting ready for spring. It's an inbetween place. I like inbetweens, but sometimes they don't connect for awhile. Call it SAD or dissociating, or time out, tune out, or whatever, it's simple for me to say, "leave me alone, I'll come out when I'm ready".
Well, I'm ready. Happpppy New Year!

>New System:
Start doing something, anything, and then do something else. Keep moving till you know what it is you are actually doing. Take a nice long computer break, and then start over. No rules/no pressure, except: do dishes before going to bed. Try to include some sorting, some de-junking, and some routine between the hours of 5-8. Keep the hours from 8-5 open for unexpected changes. Start the day with exercise, end it with being kind to your spouse.New Motivation:
Motivation comes after the effort. Tune in next week.
Hint: it is not being told what to do.

> Hint: it is not being told what to do.Excellent. I am happy to hear all is well with you Ray. Your kind and thoughtful posts has helped me in many ways. I too am starting on a different course. I am praying it will last. Yes it is hard as "Hell", but the "real" me, some of my best qualities before I entered meds and diagnosis and all that stuff, are coming back round. It hurts like hell sometimes, (well..often) but I am having my good moments too. Keep the faith...as best as can anyways. Sincerely, John. (the "V" one:-)

Good luck. Having motivation issues myself. And yes, I agree with that idea--just start something, get moving. When I am able to get anything done (rarely), it's because of that.
This is the end of the thread.
