Who decides…

What the rain will bring our way and
What makes love go astray?

Where life carries us and
Where innocence ends?

When do we get to speak?
When do lovers really meet?

Why does the sun make us freeze?
Why does love make us fall to our knees?

I ask this not in passing, looking for a simple reply;
We all deserve the knowledge before, not after, the day we die.

The Who who makes these choices,
He had better hear our voices and
He had better feed our cats.
