If you had not warned me about getting ear plugs and waiting it out, I would have given in by now.
My cat has always been, as my sister once said "dramatic" but nothing would have prepared me for these theatrics.
He's actually taken to flopping by his dish and groaning. Of course anyone who sees it thinks its hilarious, well it is funny. The howling at the injustice of it all though is just not charming.
And yes I did need to buy earplugs, and I think I'll need them for a while.

Ear plugs and a heart of stone are what it will take to wait out your beastly boy. He sounds like a tenacious bugger of a kitty.
