I thought the woman who had my job got promoted to a higher level position, I didn't know it was sainthood.
I have no patience, but must try hard to remember that my boss worships "St. Mary" and it will take a few weeks before she realizes I am Pope Poet.
I will be great at this job, I just have to stop talking to myself and acting like a crazy person. Then again, I am, what I am...

Chuckle. It's hard to follow someone who's good. Our poor office staff complain two or three years later that they still hear how our office Saint used to do things.
I think it helps if you have a sense of humor about it and keep in mind that it's no reflection on you. People just take a while to get used to change, no matter how delightful the change is.
Just think, when you get promoted, the next poor soul will hear about you.
