Hi, As one of the PB fossils, I wanted to welcome any newcomers here to the site. We were all newcomers at one time. I'm trying to think of a better word than newcomer because if you are like most of us, you've suffered in silence for years.
You do have to be nice here. If you want to make a point that you are angry at: another poster, your doctor, your significant other, yourSELF, write your post and save it for a while, walk around the block. Then post it but I, for one, need your help and concerns as much as anyone. We can't hear you if you're blocked. If someone here attacks you for any reason, go to the Admin board or send Dr Bob an email.
We all get angry but if you retaliate to another thoughtless poster, it can escalate quickly. It is way too easy to misinterpret the written word. I still do it.Anyway, here's some stuff I found today that may be interesting...I haven't read it yet but will before this days over.
To quote an AA phrase: "Although we may not know you, we love you just the same."
I just found the above site which is a spinoff of Ralph Nader founded http://www.citizen.org/.
I went there to research how much money pharmaceutical companies give to our nations lawmakers and to reseach these companies profits.
Take a peek at http://www.citizen.org/.
if interested but I warn you, keep a trash can or air sickness bag handy.Do your own research and post your findings if you want. Please remember the archives and search them before posting but if you want to revive the subject, please do.
Help each other and if you want to get livid, find out how much the lawmakers in Washington are being bought off by the most profitable industry in the world, you got it, pharmaceuticals. Write them an email, tell them how you feel. Remind them you vote.
Although you may feel excluded because 'everyone seems to know each other', we really don't. Even if we did, you have suffered to get here, speak up.
If you want to feel safe, make your brothers and sisters here feel safe.
Thanks for listening(Phil takes swig of prune juice, puts on his robe, work boots, and bandana and is headed to the pharmacy.)
If you have concerns ask others you relate to if you can email them or just join them in chat.
No matter how low you feel, you are never alone.
Sorry for the long ramble.
Thanks for listening.
Phil (major depression, recurrent, treatment resistant)

Thanks Phil for your words of encouragement :)
And thank you to the "Old-Timers" (is that PC?), for setting such great examples for us "New-Timers."
Sorry, I'd really like to put a lot of thought into this post, but my thoughts at this point are a bit too fast. But Phil, I'd really like (just this last time, promise!) to apologize. And know
if I've stepped on your toes in any way it's only because I have big feet and am merely clumsy. (And if that one didn't come out right then Beware, I'm sure I'll read it again and post yet another failed apology. But, I assure you, I mean no harm...
One more thing... I highly agree with waiting to post! Many times I have posted, only to have to resort to, what I call "damage control." I usually re-read my posts and think, "Who wrote that? Where was I?"Phil, you sound like such a good guy. Thanks again for the information and the encouragement. And for making people feel welcome. It's very much appreciated. Be careful with that prune juice though, sometimes it hits you out of the blue.

Thank you Phil for the welcome. Especially saying we suffered alone long enough. How true that is. Best to you.
