Anniversery of my fathers death

Posted by Jai Narayan on February 14, 2004, at 17:03:30

In the year 2000 at 5am I got a call that my father was failing. I called my family and we got out our candles and tuned into eachother and dad....so as he was dying, we children meditated on him and his life.
I remember seeing him walking in dappled sunlight with his best friend. He looked young and handsome and I felt so much love and longing as I cried. I wept and then got the final call that he had died. He was gone to us.

I thought I would died from the pain but no I lived on and now today I feel the saddness but mostly the love he engendered in me and all his children. He was a good man, a fair man, and above all he was kind. I still send him my love on this special day of his liberation.
I love you dad. This one is for you. My heart swells with love for you.

Jai,
How poignant for you to share that with us. And, your dad must have known how special he was to you (if he didn't then, he does now).

Hearts to you,
Shar

I miss my daddy too. He died in August a few years back. I'm sorry you miss your dad. It hurts sometimes, doesn't it? I'm still looking for a new daddy to replace him.

Jai Narayan,

They(our parents) never really leave us do they? The spirit, the teachings live on, through us.
That was beautiful.

Jai,

Your post was so lovely. My dad passed away in November 2002. I miss him so much it hurts and I still struggle with trying to remember him strong and healthy. It's nice that you have such a lovely memory of him.

He must have been a good man to have such a loving daughter.

(((Jai)))
