TV has been sinking lower and lower lately. Tonight, NBC has sunk to a new low of a different kind--this movie about September 11th, "Homeland Security". It really bothers me.

You are KIDDING me? Isn't it enough that Bush used the images in his commercials?

Criminy. It was bad enough when it first happened, and everyone's suffering was all over the news. I mean, we all also really wanted to know what was going on, because of our own anxiety and the tremendous implications of the whole tragedy. It was a type of national trauma that we were processing.
But darn it, this story is not entertainment! I'm not even going to turn on the tv.

Showing me images that are already forever fixed in my consciousness won't help me move forward. I WILL NEVER FORGET WALKING OUT OF MY BEDROOM AND SEEING THE T.V. THAT MORNING. I DON'T WANT TO SEE IT AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN.

Exactly my thoughts Fallen. Especially - how horrible to put the 9-11 families through that during easter/passover season. Too much emotion.

Yeah, sorry, I didn't mean to excuse the media right after the attack. I just meant that I was actually glad to see it at least once . . . which is maybe a bad thing. I don't know. I think it helped me process things a bit. And I suppose that to give everyone a chance to see it once, they had to show it a few times. But, yeah, over and over and over was way too much. It was definitely to the point of exploitation back then as well.
And a tv movie about it on Easter goes to a whole new level.

Holidays are always hard after you've lost someone and to have television images of 9/11 flashing away.........not a good thing. Can't imagine why they did it, unless it was to make money? You don't think I would be right, do you?
