I really appreciate everyone's warm wishes. I'm starting to thaw from my paralysis of shock and happiness. I've done things such as make an appt for an OB exam, and bought "What to Expect When You're Expecting." I'm still trying to gather my thoughts and figure out what else I should do.
I suddenly have an entirely different future than I thought I did! And it's a *great* one, at least from my current perspective. I really appreciate everyone at babble being so excited for me. It helped it seem more real to me. Especially since I'm trying not to tell too many people IRL until a little later. Without you guys, I would have burst with the news!
hugs to all of you

Welllll, if you're reading...
My all time favorite pregnancy book was "The Girlfriends' Guide to Pregnancy" by Vicki Iovine. It was the most realistic to my own pregnancy, if irreverent. :)

I also made my husband read "What to Expect When Your Wife is Expanding" just for fun!

Those both sound great! I'll see if I can find them. I think I've seen the Girlfriend's Guide at the bookstore. I wouldn't mind having a different take on things than What to Expect . . ., although I also want to have that around. And my husband would appreciate a humorous book about his experience. I like that it has a "What You Wife Will be Complaining About" section.
At the moment, I'm not doing much reading yet, but I'm sure I will eventually. Now I'm just trying to integrate the whole thing into my view of myself and my future. Which seems like a big job. I'm so glad I'll get to see my therapist on Friday. She'll be so excited for me, I'm sure! And we have some BIG things to talk about.
