the use of the expression "I know" to circumstances of normal linguistic exchange.
-Wittgenstein, On Certainty.
But what if I say "I know" what Wittgenstein meant by his comment about cake and raisins; that for instance he is pointing to a distinction between part and whole? When does thinking about parts and wholes become philosophical? when it becomes possible to generate paradoxes about them?

<<< ...you're not a raisin farmer from Fresno, CA? ...or you've never boiled them down, chilled them, and added them to cereal, ice cream, or yogurt?
