I once saw a movie marquee (it was one of those 2nd run places) that said:

Stop or My Mom Will Shoot
JFK

I swear to Dog! Wish I'd had a camera at the time.

Those were terrific! I appreciate having such a good laugh. I love having them all listed one after the other, because as soon as you stop giggling about one, you've got another - and then another! Did you find them all?

No, I cut and pasted from something I got from somebody else. They didn't come with an attribution, so I couldn't tell you who first collected them.

I'm happy to have shared some smiling.

The above appeared in the British 'paper The Guardian in the early '80s (eek! I was reading newspapers before some of you were born). At that time the UK Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND) was divided over whether to oppose all nuclear weapons or only those deployed by western countries. A reader's letter published the next day pointed out that the headline writer had used the wrong ornithological metaphor: it should have read "CND hawks ...".

Thanks, Larry, for getting this thread off to such a hilarious start.
