I did a search on this before I decided to post. Couldn't find anyone who said that they had successfully adopted with a diagnosis of depression.
I'm extremely high-functioning with meds. (Have held down a full time job, completed a Masters Degree at a Big 10 University, etc.) Unfortunately, I take a med that can't be explained away with an alternative diagnosis (like saying PMS was the diagnosis for Prozac). I take Parnate and it is the best med for me.
My husband has no health issues at all.
Have you (or anyone else you know) successfully adopted with a diagnosis of depression?
I would be very greatful for any personal stories--positive or negative.
Thanks.
