well. hm. let me think.
what would the first step be? Hm.
maybe, um, hm, maybe deciding you want a life. that would be my guess for a first step.
Next. let's see, maybe decide what kind of life you'd like. A quiet one, a wild one, a social one, a private one.
then, ok, how about if you chose a quiet one, maybe going to the library twice a week, getting some books, then sitting in a cafe to read them for an hour or two after.
then maybe go to the movies once in a while, maybe join the local cinematheque, see weird movies and then listen to people talk about them after.
maybe learn to cook. a nice ccoking class with some sweet maternal woman in charge, who makes everyone there feel wanted.
and hiking. there's a fine, quiet occupation. I no longer have a car so have to join a hiking club to get into the mountains, except on weekends when I do have a car. I am actually very much looking forward to doing this come spring.
Now, if you would like a wild life, hm. Go to jazz clubs, pick up women, or men, or whatever.
Take a martial arts class, and volunteer as a body guard for the local summer fairs.
Learn to rock climb.
Twist and shout (but probably not while you are rock climbing).
Smile at good looking strangers and invite them for coffee.
It looks like downloading a life is not really an option. You have to write your own program.

I loved what Short-e said. "You have to write your own program"
Writing programs is a lot of cutting and pasting, then trying it out checking for errors. Trying bits of previous versions, adding some new, deleting some old.
My program is written to involve me with people I have little in common with today. OK life, ready or not, here I come.
