Aggression in the Deeply Offended

Some like to say it's "passive" yet the results are the same.

When I'm being mauled by someone who's been deeply offended, I do a kind of grizzly/fire roll and cover the face.

I tend to become very aggressive when deeply offended by those close to me. If it is by someone I am not close or do not know very well I walk away but the aggression stays inside.

when I am deeply offended I get quiet and retreat to figure out what happened.
Then I try to figure out how to work with the person.
I don't seem to give up.
but I become gun shy.
