Sad for a moment

Posted by PM80 on April 8, 2005, at 7:30:58

I feel sad,
and no elegant words can remedy
this knot under my skin,
so angry at myself for nothing.
In between these colorless hues
that define my life this moment,
I sigh inside my mind,
and push away from
the meaningless work at my fingertips.
I am drifting in a sea of lamentable nothingness,
choking on the spray in my face
and crumbling within.

Soon, it will be over
and I will be me again,
intelligent and content,
able to function with a lighter spirit
and a sincere smile,
happy that I am alive.

That's really good! Very well written and easy to relate to. It really expresses the nothingness and futility we feel with depression.
(And it's nice to read about hope at the end.)

I felt the saddness with you and the yearning for your life to return.
sometimes these quiet moments go by unrecorded and you have captured it beautifully.
thanks
