I took a class in 'Shakespeare and Elizabethan Drama' once...
We were studying "Merchant of Venice" and we arrived to the first class on the play to be shown the video of Madonna singing 'Like a Virgin'.
What a terrible terrible

video!!!The lecturer seemed to think it was perfect for showing of the canal's in venice and the notion of venice as the city of 'love'.

yes, i like some of madonna's hits like "into the groove" which was a big hit 1985 and 1987 when she re-released her old hits remixed.
I think the most original video she did was express yourself, when she started the narcicism (misspellled) sorry.
This one picture she looks somewhat like joan rivers, seriously in '89:
