Oh no!

Posted by Deneb on July 17, 2005, at 23:24:00

I just took two quizzes. On on adult ADD/ADHD and one on bipolar disorder. I got:

mild ADD likely!

and

qualify for Bipolar I!!!...moderate to severe symptoms even!
...not even Bipolar II!...it was actually Bipolar I! Geez, I think a lot of people would find they have disorders if they trusted these tests.

Yikes! Good thing these tests are mainly for amusement! I'm guessing my high BPI scores is a result of the test not taking into account any personality disorders.

Eeek...this does make me think though...does this mean that my BPD incapacitates me just as much as if I had a bipolar disorder? Not good. :(

hi Deneb,
sometimes the quizzes are really general, and sometimes your answers might change based on your mood that day. But if you feel that you need a new DX, how about taking the quiz and talking to your doctor about it? Do you think that would be useful at all?

Oh I don't think I need a new dx. I know I don't have bipolar disorder. The quiz was for amusement.

we are never our dx...
we know enough, we can not measure a childs intelligents from a test or quiz...
we can not feel the way they think we should...
