Hey all...
Go here: http://www3.sympatico.ca/barrybri/index.htm
to see pics of where the cottage I will be staying at is located. Just a few minutes from Algonquin Park, Ontario. Just to note, Ontario has over 500,000 (1/2 a million!) fresh water lakes...100's of thousands of miles of forests..rivers..much of it *never* touched by any human! Tons of Moose...Deer..some black bears...beavers..loons...land handcrafted by God...ya, this is indeed 'God's' country! (No, I am not religious..just spiritual)
Water pure as silk..and so clean and refreshing..
I will write my adventures when I get back..hopefully have some pics too..
Best,
Jay

I spent some perfect days at Baptiste Lake this summer. No bugs even, until the evening!! Enjoy your time, eh?

Hi Link....
Yep...I do live in Ontario...I believe you do too, right? Well, anyhow, maybe this belongs on the meds board, but I am gonna put it here. It has to do with your difficulties, and the very sad post I read from you about "it all being over when your parents die..".
Dude, I have said those exact words...that's what really touched me and I needed a bit of time to come up with what I want to say. This is about medications...period. It sounds like you have a very, very physically, painful, deep-down-so-hard type of depression/anxiety, or if you have BP2...but the diagnosis doesn't really matter.
So, being like you, my doctor has said, med wise *anything goes*. This is just not about trying an MAOI or something like that...this is even MORE radical. Have you ever tried a small combo of three antidepressants, like Zoloft, Prozac, Effexor, and added two atypical antipsychotics, like Seroquel and Zyprexa plus a stimulant, and clonazepam? Most people would think I am nuts taking this...but I've done it and it *works*. Another combo...I was on Prozac, 80mg, Nortriptyline 200 mg, Zyprexa, 10mg, Topamax, 100mg, Bromazepam, 15mg, Risperdal, 3mg, Depakote/Epival 1000mg. I have regular blood tests, and NO problems with being at these levels.. The point is...don't think 'traditional' combinations are your only answer. I honestly think just being on one or two meds is like only consuming one or two vitamins a day...very limiting, and the more meds you take (just be careful with the amounts..but these are safe meds) the more neurotransmitter systems and pathways you are going to hit. The meds we do have are, we gotta face it, poor, so we have to really fight back even with a ton of meds. It was costly at first...but I have got drug insurance through university. Regardless, your life is worth it!!! It's like taking a nuclear bomb to depression! Trust me...you *will* be amazed.
Anyhow..please feel free to babblmail me anytime...and your state is only *temporary*. Load up on the meds that 'kinda worked'...the fusion of a number of them will blast away your depression.
Let me know how you are doing....
What you think..Best,
Jay

Jay, I'll tell you what I think. I think you're a genius to have come up with such a complicated med regime. I wouldn't even know where to start! Fondly, Phillipa
