Lovely Rita, meter maid .....
I'm making sure all papers are stored, no little bits of anything around, closing the blinds, and then I'll power down my machines and store them in an interior office.
Then I'm going home to repeat the exercise.
I've got plenty of water, candles and canned food, plus plenty of charcoal to cook things in the freezer before it rots. Things should be ok, cross fingers, but I may be out of communication for a while after tomorrow. My daughter is safely evacuated from the coast.
Let the fun begin!

Wow, it's even windy here on the other side of the Gulf. Take care, AuntieMel and hang on tight.

Ww'll probably lose power for a good while with this one. I just checked and winds are at 175mph and the direction was changed a bit more my way.
I really feel for all the Katrina folks who made new homes here!
