Last night on was my first rehearsal on stage and it kinda freaked me out, it has been 15 years since I performed in front of an audience. I thought I would be okay, but it did get to me. I was playing badly, it was so frusterating.
Then to start the night for my rehearsal, I was walking out the back door of my house. The security light was burned out, so it was dark. Well I almost tripped over my mop I had drying outside and went to pick it up, then I stepped on the mop end and the other end, flew up and hit me right in the jaw! It hurt really bad, I have a big bruise now. It looks like somebody slugged me! LOL Luckly it didn't hit my lips or I wouldn't be able to play for weeks with a bloody lip. AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH! Okay, I am done venting for now. I think I will take a nap! oh, yeah, my back and feet hurt, it must be stress!

My biggest dream is to be on stage!!
Take care and look after your jaw. (And your nerves).

I am learning my lesson not to start at the bottom of a babble page. I have just read the above thread and noted that you play the trumpet!!
Which means I would be delighted to know what songs you are playing.

I thought the ssying was break a leg. Not break your jaw with a mop! I'm sure you will do fine. Give yourself some time to build up comfidence. And what songs are you playing. Fondly, phillipa
