Ms. MeltonLow Motivation – Ambition
I. Introduction:
-People who have low motivation in their life usually come from a source of Lack of Desire. This can be manifested in many different ways, belief, the environment that where raised in, low self esteem, and low self-confidence. “To achieve, one must remove the emotional blocks interfering with motivation, develop self-awareness, instill an understanding of self-control, and improve self-esteem so that an individual can achieve to his or her potential” (Peter A. Spevak, Ph.D) Ambition is the desire to achieve something, which is what people with unemployment, and low motivation, because they do not have a goal.
II. Changing your View.
A. Your belief about yourself depends a lot on the outcome in what you can do.1. Example your belief is low self-confidence in general; this is applied to your everyday actions.
B. Motivation aspect
1. Lack of motivation causes underachievement, which leads to low productivity, acceptance of mediocrity, unhappiness and failure (Spevak, Peter, Ph. D)
III. Ambition: The Desire for Progress: Ambition is the desire to a have a passion or a drive towards a certain purpose, money, power, achievement, sports, etc.. It can be a burning desire towards something that extreme want, or personal goal.
A. Desire – an inner feeling of having something, job, money, power.1. An example, desire is what we want, or have a inner need for.
B. Drive- the feeling that it will take to get there no matter what, drive can be related to motivation and desire to go for it.1. Motivation is similar to drive; they both have same motives, to go for a goal.
2. Drive is what it takes to fulfill your desire, by perusing it.
C. Motivation- this is an act towards a goal that is wanted.1. Motivation is more of a direct work for drive.
2. It is part of ambition in climbing up and getting to where your going to go.
IV. Reaching your goal and know what your desire is.A. Ambition – you have determination to make a strong decision on what you want to do with your life.
1. Don’t flow through life; make your way through life.
2. Make Goals – set them as priority, this will make your life much simpler
3. “Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can become great” – Mark Twain
C. Determination – makes your way to the top, climb, dont flow through life not knowing a purpose.1. Find a desire and reach it.
2. If its business, achievement, sports, anything makes it a inner desire that drives you to it.
Conclusion: Belief in yourself, and determination and ambition will make life more structured and more goal oriented, which can make life happier. So don’t hesitate, make something that your desire is real. Make it burn inside, and you will go after it.
