I can't add without using my fingers or a calculator. Not good when trying to appear impressive when helping an 8 year old with math homework.

I never use a calculator. Don't trust them. I do my adding and substracting either in my head or on paper. And I never balance my checkbook. Just substract the amt of the last check from my previous balance. And I'm usually correct. Fondly, Phillipa
