Any camera geeks here?

Photography is my latest *thing*, but I only have a fairly average "point and press" camera.

But I don't think I am ready for a full on DSLR (and don't suggest film *L* I'm a digital only kinda gal!)..

I've been looking at a Sony Cyber-shot DSC-H1, which is more half way between the two.. but would really like suggestions and advice in this area..

It seems like a good place to ask *grins*
