Anone Ever Read The Archieves?

Posted by Phillipa on April 21, 2006, at 13:49:58

I finally found some time to read the achives only some of them but wow if you read about meds boy have they changed. And the new boards too. And I couldn't believe that people used to post their full name. I hope I get time to read more. It's really amazing how some of the people have changed and all the names I never heard of before. Just thought I would Share this. Love Phillipa

Thanks for sharing. I haven't had time to look at any of the archives yet. I am "working" or so they think. I am bad, I know.

Queston: Are many of you friends or students or something from the same place? I get the feeling that there is a more common thread here other than the cyber one.

Nice to make your acquaintance, too, ...er...I mean "Hi"
I seem to be obsessing really bad with posting today. I sometimes do obsess because I do, ya know. So I try to work a little and keep flipping back and forth. Seems like whenever I get one obsession or addiction under "control," another one takes it's place. I live like that. Aaargh!

I've been here long enough to know quite a few of the regulars and if you go back usually you see such improvemnet it is great. And I have met babblers in real life and talked to a couple on the phone. Having been a psych nurse the achieves show me how far we've come in our knowledge of what meds do and the new additions. I check out the archives from time to time. Mainly, I look at my old posting name and realize how far I've come in recovery and growth - that feels good.

I will say, it does make me kinda sad to see how many really good folks no longer post. I do wonder how those folks are doing. My hope is they are doing well and decided moving on from the site was what they needed to do. The archives can be bittersweet for me.

hi curt,:)

i just wanted to say that i'm sorry for the way i replied...i didn't mean it to come across as silencing you or anything...i apologize sincerely.:)

that topic (ocd) is so sensitive for me...a big mind game...i avoid it like the plague. (also, my communication skills are a little funny lately lol.:-)) i really hope you feel welcome here...don't mind me 'kay?:):) you could post some threads about ocd here or on the alternative or meds boards..i know you'll get some help that way.

just trying (diligently) not to think the obsessive thoughts is not the only answer, and i don't know if it even works for most ppl, especially if the ocd is severe. actually, it doesn't work for me in some ways..(sorry to be so general.) anyway, again, i'm sorry.:)

may you enjoy your stay in babbleland! :-)

love,
amy

aim,

i am as always astounded by your linguistic versatility ;-)

I believe what has happened here is that θ, or 'theta', has turned into a voiceless alveolar fricative, as often happens when foreign speakers stumble over this sound that the Welsh and the Greeks both mastered but that speakers of more ordinary tongues can only hiss- aim, we are lucky as English speakers that we have this θ at our disposal. I trust you will soon recover, as Geminians are renowned for mastery of tongues :-)

I am grateful to Glydin for assistance rendered under another name. The name suggests a glide over the θorns of life.

interestingly, i have commented on another θread contributor's name. it is in the archives :-)

i have also denounced archivists, too, but that's just my own Gemini streak.

the ridiculous entity that has been plaguing my attempts to render 'theta' is simply a testament to my own lack of ingenuity. you may see what it is supposed to look like here: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/a9/Xsampa-T2.png
sank you all,

-z
