If you knit, at anything from a beginning to intermediate level (scarves to having made a couple of garments from commercial patterns, whether in magazines, books, or individual patterns), could you babblemail me? I've got a few questions for those of you who do knit, but don't do your own design.
In the babblemail, could you give me an idea of what sort of level you're knitting at right now? How many scarves, what sort of garments, where you got the patterns, etc?
And I'll tell you via babblemail why I'm asking, and I will have a few more questions then, too. It's just not something I'm comfortable disclosing publicly, you know? And I'm kinda hoping you'll keep it between us when I tell you, too...
Thanks! I look forward to hearing from you!

I am training to do my first 5 K and I have never ever ran before. It is soooo hard and I wonder sometimes why people want to do this anyways. But it is getting easier.

Running or jogging is the best, legal high you will ever get. I know how hard it is to start but it wonderful to chart your progress. I was a slow runner jogger and had just started again until I broke my elbow doing what? Jogging of course. I tripped on the sidewalk and fell and now that I know I have ruptured discs I am waiting for my next appointment with the Ortho guy to see if it is safe. I love jogging!!!!!!And if you need to lose wt it is the best and muscle tone, extra energy. Love Phillipa

Wow, I didn't know running can be so dangerous! LOL Ouch!
I love charting my progress too, it is fun to see the mini inprovements each run. Right now I am running 2 minutes, walking 2 minutes for a total of 30 minutes. Then next week I am going to run 2 min, walk 1 min, then the next week run 2 1/2 min, walk 1 min. Very slow, but at least I am not getting injured and I am still motiavated. It took me an hour to run 3.6 miles yesterday! LOL SO you can see I am soooo slow! I can walk faster than I am running.
How did you start Phillip?

In my early 30's I was teaching Aerobic Dance classes and needed to be certified by the YMCA about every l0weeks. One of the qualifications was to run l.5miles in under l2minutes. It was very slow. And another was to learn all the dances and call out the steps before so the others could follow. Also maintain a near perfect wt for your height. And it's not dangerous to run just don't be a clutz like me. Love Phillipa ps I went on the start my own Aerobic business. Did it till second year of nursing school. With the choreography of dances and training of instuctions and advertising it was interferring with my studying and I had three young kids then and was going through a divoce. Running saved me so to say an outlet for anxiety.
