I'm "cool", okay, but it's friggin' hot out today. I have no air conditioning, and it's already in the eighty's that's, like, 30 degrees for you celsius folks.
What to do, what to do. Even my computer feels grumpy in this weather. Poor computer. It's huffing and puffing.
I don't want to leave the house, because last time I went out I felt yucky and sweaty and the sun is bothering me. too bright (maybe I'm a vampire)
Screw the housework. I'm going to watch a DVD. Wallace and Gromit, Curse of the Wererabbit. This is one of the suggested movies y'all recommended me. Thanks again.

Hmm, here is a very interesting answer to what seems like a straightforward question
Yes, I have a/c in the car.
However, the car is 900 miles away.
No, I do not have a/c for my bicycle.
However, I do have a nice breeze.
No, I am not feeling like riding my bike 900 miles today to go pick up my car.

It's hot here too, though we've got air conditioning. I happen to have a personal source of heat (can you say hot flash?) in spite of being in a cool house, and I put ice cubes in a ziplock sandwich bag and stick it down my top. Lumpy, but cooling.

My basement is considerably cooler than the rest of my house. Sometimes I go down there to read or take a nap. Is there anywhere in your house that is cooler? Or go to the mall.

I don't have air conditioning either. Here's a good way to stay cool:
Fill a spray bottle with cold water.
Turn on a fan.
Spray water over face and body, let fan cool you off.Or...go to a pool.
It's a very good way to stay cool. Try it.

I've packed away all my clothes with any sort of sleeves whatsoever. I feel much cooler when my underarms are free to shed heat as designed.
I kind of hate to make other people look at my bare upper arms, but desperate times lead to desperate measures.
We've got an air conditioner, but I don't think it's big enough for the house. :(((
Or maybe I'm just old and fat. For whatever reason it seems unbelievably hot this year. I think the local stores are trying to save money by not cooling their establishments as much as usual, but I think it'll backfire in lost impulse buys.
This is the end of the thread.
