OK, so I refuse to keep all of my colleagues in nice, fresh coffee.. Every day, I make two pots of coffee in a caffietiere (french press), and even buy the coffee out of my own purse.
So, with everything going on I am rebelling..
Also, I prefer percolated coffee to filter or pressed.. so.. what I am asking.. is what do you use to make coffee just for one person? I'm not allowed electrical devices, so something, possibly, that sits on top of my cup..
At home I use a stove top espresso pot.. and adore the coffee from that. I like my coffee strong!!
So.. anyone here make coffee for one in a ingenious way?!

It is great tasting coffee, too.
I don't know what you mean by no electrical devices. How would you boil water? For tea, even?

I like strong coffee, too. I have an electric percolator but a stovetop percolator is just as good and cheaper. With a stovetop, I let it perk for about 5 minutes. Here's a link for a percolator I found: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0009U5NEO/103-5712412-9103849?v=glance&n=284507

Hi Nikki - Like Larry said, Melita makes a plastic cone shaped filter-holder that fits over a mug or cup...sits on top of the cup. You put the paper filter into it, put the finely-ground coffee into the filter, then pour boiling water over it. I'm a tea-granny myself, but I think Melita coffee probably tastes pretty good.
Thinking of you. xoxoxoxoxoxo Kath
PS - any chance of your coming to Ontario this summer?
