This website is a good source for movie (and game) info and reviews. I pre-check all DVDs I'm thinking about renting. Check it out for yourselves.

nope philippa,
no joke- they compile reviews from all kinds of sources and then use them to compute a meta-rating for the movie. If the movie gets over some threshold , maybe 60 percent positive reviews, then the movie is deemed 'fresh' if not, it's rotten.I've got this site in my bookmarks folder. I use it all the tim to determine whether a movie is worth it to see in the theaters, or whether I should wait until it's on NetFlix DVD instead.
