I went a a job interview this week(They formally offered it to me). I thought it was a sign when, waiting in the office, I read on a calendar, "In each bulb there is the promise of a flower, in each seed an apple tree, in each sunset rests the promise of sunrise, and in each plodding step the promise of arriving." Of course, on the way home, I was accosted by another meaningful sign. Out in the middle of nowhere, there was a restaurant sign that said,"Eat here or we'll both starve."

Clever restauranteur. I think I'd be inclined to give it a try. :)
(Did you formally accept?)

Hi Dinah,
I haven't formally accepted yet. I asked them to give me a few days to think about it. It's at a college where I would be working with inner city students. I want to ask them about continuing education programs and benefit packages. The money is not great so I'll have to weigh the cost effectiveness.

It sounds as if there are a number of intangible rewards, too. Although perhaps your current job has intangible rewards as well. :)
I wish I had a job with intangible rewards.
However, if I want my tangible ones I'd best get back to work.
This is the end of the thread.
