I'm a high school runner who was injured in August. I missed my whole cross country season and couldn't run much during track either. The thing is that I really don't know what caused my injury and am afraid of getting hurt again, since my legs still don't feel exactly right. I won state my freshman year and feel awful that I'm not good now. Because of these problems, I've been binge eating to deal with my emotions. Now, I feel fat, worthless, and disgusted. My once ultra thin body is now fat in my eyes. When I try to lose weight, I end up eating the very foods that I was trying to avoid, feel guilty, and eat more. It's an endless cycle that's been going on for over half a year now. It's embarassing and I need someone to talk to who understands how I feel. Can someone help me?
