Chinese Roommate:
you want some plum juiceMe:
is it alcoholic?C.R.
no.Me:
Okay, I'll try it. Hey, all the writing is in Chinese. What's in here?C.R.
some plums that they boil, and then mix the juice with sugar and waterMe:
oh, it's pretty good.[elapsed time, 25 minutes]
Me:
(noticing alarming puffiness in abdomen, suspects that "plum juice" is Chinese for "gas attack in a juice box")Oh GOD. there's a genital herpes med commercial on TV. I really don't want to hear about the risks and side effects of Valtrex. not on TV. not now. What would it feel like to be a starving actress, trying out for the part "I have genital herpes", knowing that in 5years, when you make the big time, Jay Leno is going to find footage of this commercial and show the world how desparate you were.

I've always heard prunes are a natural laxative, and I believe they're dried plums, so it makes sense you'd have a tummy ache. I hope you feel better.

I hope your tummyache is better.
Maybe take some Pepto Bismol?

Nihao
She got it in Chinatown last time she was there, I guess. i would tell you the brand... but I don't know how to type in chinese. I don't even know if anyone here could read it if I could type chinese.
I think it has a lot of potential for revenge.
Gas Attacks. yep.

the bunching up, which affects the sexiness factor of your butt in hot pants :-(
butt seriously, if you have to wear them I'm sorry- it cannot be pleasant

Okay folks,
Chinese Roommate "CR" has given me two more Chinese snacks (these with SOME english font)
Would YOU eat these? (keep in mind that CR is very sweet and we have never had strife, so revenge is not her motivation. She's just sharing)
Spirulina Cracker
Ing. Wheaten Flour, Cheese Powder, Leavening Agent, Sodium Bicarbonate, Whipped Cream, Salt, Calcium Powder, Eggs, SpirulinaAnd Rice Cracker
No English font. this is a giant 4 inch round rice cracker with something looking like icing or glaze on it.hmmm.
p.s. I did not suffer from the poopies, just gas. In case you were worried about me. I'm sure y'all were on the edges of your seats waiting for that update. Thank you for your grave concern.

hmmmm...strange food indeed
every lovely person of chinese descent that I have been friends with has introduced me to some sleepygirl-foreign food
the dried seaweed for instance....I just dunno about that
I generally eat it gracefully thinking how different american food is (and realizing how much easier it is to get fat on it ;-)
wear the diaper "just in case" ;-)

In reply to the problem with adult diapers........., posted by sleepygirl on June 27, 2006, at 21:07:40
I will keep in mind to wear adult diapers with the appropriate pants.
You don't need to worry about the sexiness factor of my butt in hot pants. THAT image would be like watching a car accident. Shock and horror, yet, you can't help but look (mind you this is without the adult diapers). Sex would be the last thing on your mind. Unless you have some disordered/unusual thinking that I'm not anticipating.
I appreciate your concern for the wearers of adult diapers. I feel similar concern. Although, I think that the diapers have gotten a lot better recently. And in my opinion, having to wear them sure beats having accidents.

Easily grossed out? read no further ***
Yeah, I'm not a picky eater. I'll try any food once.
I've had different kinds of insects. I've eaten every kind of meat raw. (yep, even pork and chicken, and deer) and I have been in many foreign countries and eaten many odd things. Having CR is an adventure. Different strokes for different folks. There's so many things in my refrigerator that are special- all kinds of condiments, pickled curiosities, and smelly pastes. Some of them even belong to ME!I'm full now though. I'm going to wait until later to try the cracker. The "algae cracker" is a little curious. who woulda thunk it?

>Just ate the Rice Cracker. It tasted like a gigantic crispy Corn Pop (like the cereal) Sweet. mmmm! it was the icing. I want another. How will I ever find my way to a store that sells it??? Oh well. Guess my roommate will have to be my dealer.
