My therapist doesn't keep my medication, but a couple of years ago, our marriage counselor told my husband to lock up my medications and give them to me. He had control of them, got my meds out every day for me.
He thought it was silly, but when he got lax about it, I did what she'd been afraid of. Obviously, I failed, but her advice was quite sound, and I think we could have saved us all a lot of time and misery had he heeded the warning.
I'm sorry you're in that sort of a state. Do you feel as though it's prudent for your T to have control of your meds? Or is something else going on?

Hi Rubenstein,
My therapist has never kept my meds, but ex pdoc always asked me if I was safe with meds. It took him about three appointments before he'd put refills on the prescription.

Mine only give 30days for any med not only psych meds except he won't even Rx my synthroid. But that's reasonable as I need blood checks. Love Phillipa

I've never been on dangerous meds before. I would never OD on the meds I have now. They are safe in overdose so why would I waste my money and OD on them?
I have OD'd before, but on OTC drugs. No one can control that. I have handed over the drugs to my pdoc before, twice, after I OD'd on them (not serious enough to go to hospital).
