Sometimes just out of the blue I want to kill myself. I was just watching TV and then during a commercial I felt like hanging myself. I just suddenly felt really hopeless.
The feeling isn't completely gone yet.
Now I think maybe if I walk across a bridge or something I'll just suddenly feel like jumping off. Once when I was in grade 4 or something the class took a field trip to walk across the Golden Gate Bridge and I thought about jumping. Strange.
Maybe I'm getting overwhelmed again.
Sort of feel like buying a rope again. Not particularly depressed or anything, just a bit hopeless.
Sort of feel like I want to die. Dunno why. Not in any real pain or anything.
It's a mystery.

That's why we've got fear, to stop us doing stupid things. Otherwise we'd do terrible stuff for no good reason. IMO of course.

Hi Deneb,
I am by no way an expert but in one of my Pysch classes, we learned that this could be a sign of depression. But anyways (((((Deneb))))))

Yeah I reckon its normal for us pysch-challenged people. Probably not normal for non-pysch challenged people people through LOL.
Yeah I go through crazy moments of 'I'm going to kill myself'.
I think its more just a way of coping with intense pain at that point in our lives.
Or rather, having control over a situation we peceive we have no control over. Or even when we feel our lives are out of *our* control - we can control it to some degree because we chose to live or die. So just by saying 'I'm going to kill myself' you give yourself back control to some degree.
I hope I make sense!
Kind regards
Meri
I always preferred the 'slashed wrists in a bath' way myself, although sadly/fortunately, they don't have baths in Finland. Morbid LOL!

Morbid LOL!Nice image, but I was hospitalized with someone who tried that one. He said that after 12 hours, he got hungry and called someone to bring him food. The cast on his arm covered most of his forearm, and the damage done was pretty awful -- after more than 12 hours, stitches are at best problematic.
Just in case anyone actually thought to try this one. It's not a bad option, because it certainly gives you time to change your mind -- but that's the only benefit to it.

Are you saying it's a good option? It doesn't seem so, but maybe it would be better to be more clear. Thanks,
Bob

It's a terrible thing to do, and it's not likely to be effective. It's a good way to maim yourself, but will likely leave you around to suffer the consequences -- which can be very severe -- for years to come.
I hope that's more clear...

I think that's what it is for me, control. It's nice to have control.
Thanks for your input about this. I guess it's pretty normal. :-)

> BobI would say that it IS a good option. Better than many, cuz you DO have a chance to back out..............
I would say its a bad option for the same reason, cuz knowing you can back out.... you do it....and are left with a hell of a mess.
I was gonna shoot myself, but I backed out. Hmmmmmmmmmmm.
My only damage was they took my gun away.....
They won't let me legally own a gun no more :-(
So I guess my self esteem was damaged, cuz I too crazy to have a gun.....
Killing oneself just plain leaves you with no options cuz you dead.
Which is fine for you, but trashes alot of other people.
Unlessssssssssssssssssssss, there IS a hell, and its even worse than life here..........................

If you a fan of satan that is....**So does THAT sound like I saying its ok to kill oneself?
I said it only has ONE thing going for it. Satan, the guy thats generally perceived as evil or bad etc, likes it. Does that make it good?
Earliear I mentioned the fact that it might not be good idea cuz what if you went to HELL. Which in my understanding is apparently worse than anything on this earth...(which is somewhat hard to beleive cuz there is SO much evil here :-(
I mentioned it hurts others.
I mentioned that if your dead you got NO MORE options.
That being said.
Its only my opinion.
I can't judge anothers pain.
