Wet and nasty here too. I hate winter.
Do you have any of those really soft, fuzzy socks they sell these days? I bought a pair at walmart and I LOVE them. I usually pair them with a pair of too-big fleece pants and a sweatshirt. I look crazy, but that's okay. It's nice.

Yep, lightbox is very important. I put on warm socks, and a sweater. And I make a cup of tea or a latte to warm up.
Oh, and plan for next year's garden.
