I have a neighbor in her 70's who has pain severe enough that she's on fentanyl patches and other pain meds none that work. I've given her my docs name and sent her a thread on cymbalta as she's on opiods and she says her pain is emotional too. She had a Son committ suicide and a Daughter addicted to pain meds. Love Phillipa

Poor lady, she's lucky to have you as a neighbour.

Hi Phillipa,
I sympathize with you, my 80-year-old mother is in chronic pain. The only time I've seen her pain free was when she was in the hospital and was on a morphine drip.
Has your neighbor talked to a pain specialist? My mother is seeing one and hopefully he will be able to do something that others haven't. Though in my mother's case she is stubborn and convinced from the get go that nothing works. Hmm, wonder who I get my negativity from?

Poet her doctor told her her fentanal patches and vicodin and percocet are worthless now and wants her to go on an antidepressant which is ridiculous as she has to walk with a cane, bursitis is shoulders. One hip surgery already. Love Phillipa ps and give up the pain meds
