Okay I had my eye exam today after not having one for over 30 years! I never wore glasses before or anything, so I don't pay attention to the styles right now.
I only have to wear them in class when the teacher is writing on the board and when reading music. So I would like something kinda fun and stylish. LOL any ideas? My T said Woody Allen glasses but he was kidding of course, at least I HOPE he was. LOL

so far it seems that retangular and red seem to be what it hot right now. I want something funky! ;-) I thought the cat eye glasses are neat, but I don't know how they will look on my face.

I like plastic, but from experience, they lose their shape quite easily, so be prepared to get them adjusted frequently. Right now, I really like the ones that have different lines to them... like these ones http://eyeglasses.go-optic.com/store/Eyeglasses/details.asp?id=18782
I really wanted them, but seeing as how insurance won't pay for new glasses until the end of the summer, I gotta wait.... event tho my glasses are breaking :(

Hi Gee,
missed you in chat tonight! I don't know how I am going to deceide! I am going tomorrow to check them out. ;-)
I am glad that with my husband's new employer, there is awesome vision coverage. I only have to pay 20 bucks for and up to 200 frames and 15 for the lenses. I can get a new pair every year, so I want something fun! funky!

Wow, I really like those ones Gee! Although I can tell that'd they wouldn't suit my face, but I think they are really cool! I remember once the blonde lady in 'the closer' had some really cool ones too.
I like plastic ones as well, but again, I've found that they lose their shape easily.
Kind regards
Meri

Well. I've had pairs of funky plastic ones and metal ones, and I have to say the funky ones quickly lose their funkiness and you get bored of them. That said, you are only wearing them occasionally, so perhaps it doesn't matter too much. I'm pretty short sighted, so I have to wear my all the time, and well, I've had the best results with metal frames. At the moment, I particulary like those rimless styles - they do some really nice ones here. Although the cost a small fortune becuase you have to then get super think lenses etc.

I had this lady help this "virgin" out today. It seems like with all the hundreds of pairs, only a couple look good with my face shape, hair and eye color. I got these coach ones http://www.eyeglasscentral.com/proddetail.php?prod=CoachGretta532 in tortoise color and they come with this cool case too! ;-)
I wanted to get something funky, but I looked really weird in them. I think this style will work when I have to perform in the symphony and in school.
I got this crizal alize type that will help with the glare at night driving and plus when you look at me you see my eyes, not a reflection. Glad it is over, I get them in about 3 days!

I envy those lucky few who really can choose among the hundreds of glasses they have on display. :)
Daddy always used to say I had a head like a basketball, or call me Charlie Brown. With that head shape, only a few pair usually are at all possible, and the ones that look best on my round face with too small features all bunched up in the middle are completely out of style. I used to carry around a pair of broken glasses that actually looked good on me, and compare shapes to the display glasses.
I like the pair you chose. :) I'm sure you look very stylish and intelligent in them.

And don't forget lasix surgery. I had it three years ago for distance. And it's the best present I ever gave myself. Add the cost of glasses over the years and it paid for itself . I couldn't tolerate bifocal even without the lines. But if you are young distance will get better as you age. But they can also do it for both where one eye for distance and one for reading. Your brain adapts. Not mine they gave contacts to try and I ripped them out when got home as I felt drunk. Love Phillipa
