I cannot sleep and I am beyond frustrated. It doesn't help that there's this damn bird outside that's been chirping non-stop for hours. The bird isn't what's keeping me awake; but, I'm pissed that I'm having to listen to it. Why are the bird and I still awake?

Have you ever seen 'failure to launch'?
Anyway, I couldn't sleep last night because my *£&(ƒ¨flatmate came home drunk at 4am and woke me up.
Drink some milk. It helps apparently.

If you like, I could try to teach you my falling to sleep techniques. Insomnia is incredibly rare for me once I learned the techniques.
On the other hand, I tend to use them during the day too. Which is not good.

Yes, Dinah. I'd still like to know more. We just got a little distracted in chat....in a very good way, of course.

Oh, Phillipa, within a few minutes of posting, the bird apparently attracted a friend.....or woke a roommate. Then it was REALLY annoying because they were both making noise....whether they were bickering or just happy to have found one another, I do not know.

I have seen that movie, but I can't think of how it applies. Would you remind me?

SJP's flatmate, (Zooey Deschanel) is driven crazy by a mockingbird on her windowsill. She tries to kill it with a shotgun! It was a relatively ok movie.
Anyway I hope you're feeling better today??
